Dr. Hulda Clark discovered that many everyday products are contaminated with solvents, heavy metals, and lanthanides. She found these toxins in 90% of commercial vitamins, minerals, capsules, and pills. Dental materials—especially fillings—were another major source, often containing up to 50 different metals. Of particular concern are the 15 lanthanides, which, although not as magnetic as iron, are biologically active and can interfere with cellular function.
Here’s a list of heavy metals and their sources, where Dr. Clark detected them. These contaminants can be identified using the Syncrometer or hair analysis.

- Aluminum: cookware, lotions, soaps, deodorants, pre-disinected water, baking powder, baked goods
- Aluminum Silicate: salt, water softeners
- Antimony: fragrances in lotions, colognes
- Arsenic: pesticides, treated carpets, wallpaper
- Asbestos: dryer belts, hairdryers, radiator paint
- Barium: lipstick, bus exhaust
- Benzalkonium Chloride: toothpaste
- Benzopyrene: grilled foods, toast
- Beryllium: kerosene lamps, petrol, dentures
- Bismuth: colognes, lotions, antacids
- Bromine: brominated flour
- Cadmium: galvanized pipes, old fillings

Internal Sources of Heavy Metals
Heavy metals can also come from inside the body. According to Dr. Clark, each enzyme has a mineral core. When the enzyme breaks down, the mineral remains as an inorganic metal. The body tries to get rid of these through the intestines and urine, but fungi and bacteria might capture them first.
Certain metals, such as nickel, vanadium, gold, and ruthenium, are utilized by pathogens including yeasts, bacteria, fungi, and parasites in their own enzyme systems, embedding toxicity more deeply into tissues.
As bacteria die in the intestines, they release residues such as nickel, which Dr. Clark linked to immune suppression, gray hair, baldness, and allergies. Gold, left behind by Salmonella, is absorbed by prions and the HIV virus for their enzymatic needs.
Even in healthy individuals, these oxidized metals accumulate over time, aging the body, weakening the immune system, and reducing vitality. Dr. Clark frequently found chromium, nickel, copper, selenium, cobalt, vanadium, and germanium in patients with chronic illnesses. Others – like uranium, palladium, lanthanides, lead, antimony, cadmium, fluorine, bromine, and aluminum – are especially problematic, as the body cannot convert them into organic forms.
Dr. Clark made it clear: inorganic metals may be safe underground, but they are toxic inside the human body. They weaken white blood cells and create an ideal environment for chronic infections.
