Causes

According to Dr. Clark, autism is not purely genetic. It involves early-life exposure to parasites and environmental toxins that pass to the unborn child through the placenta. Key contributors include:

• Lead: Always present in autistic children; likely acquired in utero.
• Mercury: Passed from mother to fetus if dental mercury fillings are not removed before pregnancy.
• Brain-invading parasites: Ascaris, hookworm, Strongyloides, and Trichinella larvae—common in dirt and animal-contaminated surfaces—can enter a child’s brain and cause dysfunction.
• Reinfection cycle: Young children constantly reinfect themselves via hand-to-mouth contact, especially in homes with contaminated floors or shoes.
• Egg contamination: Salmonella found on eggshells and cartons, not inside the egg, poses an added risk. Malvin in eggs can also trigger seizures.

Symptoms

Symptoms of autism may include social withdrawal, communication difficulties, and repetitive behaviors. These are interpreted as brain dysfunction caused by persistent parasitic presence and heavy metal toxicity.

Treatments

1. Eliminate parasites and prevent reinfection
   • Kill Ascaris, hookworm, Strongyloides, and Trichinella using a zapper weekly for the child and all family members.
   • Prevent reinfection: do not allow children to crawl on public floors, wear shoes indoors, or touch shoe soles.
   • Sanitize floors and surfaces that could harbor animal filth or dirt tracked in by shoes.
2. Remove heavy metals
   • Remove mercury dental fillings after pregnancy (not during) to reduce mercury exposure to infants.
   • Eliminate lead sources from the child’s environment and diet.
   • Consider using thioctic acid to help mobilize and excrete retained metals.
3. Clean up diet and environment
   • Handle eggs safely: discard the carton, wash eggs and hands before cracking.
   • Avoid mold- and solvent-contaminated foods.
   • Perform the Four Clean-ups: dental, body, environment, and food (including parasite cleanse and bowel program; see p. 546 for bowel program reference).
