Aflatoxin (from Aspergillus species)

Detected in most processed and mold-contaminated foods. Found in liver tissue, where it blocks regeneration and detoxification. Common sources include moldy nuts, grains, cornmeal, peanut butter, packaged cereals, and fruit juices.

Health issues: Liver cancer, toxicity, suppression of immune response, and long-term cellular damage.
