Neem oil is a natural extract from Azadirachta indica and contains active components such as azadirachtin, nimbidin, and salannin. These compounds make neem an effective topical and environmental ally for controlling parasites, microbes, and mold sources around the home. 👉 Within Dr. Clark’s framework, neem oil can be applied to reduce reinfection risks, remove environmental contamination, and replace polluted commercial products. Not that neem oil should only be used topical. ⚠️ Do not ingest it!

1️⃣ Environmental control of parasites and insects

Neem oil can be applied in diluted form to surfaces and fabrics where parasites, mites, fleas, or other small invaders may hide. Dr. Clark emphasized that parasites often return from carpets, upholstery, bedding, pet areas and fabrics. Neem oil’s natural insect-repelling qualities make it suitable for these environmental sources.

👉 Applications:

• Spray 1 – 2% diluted neem oil onto carpets, mattresses, sofas and curtains.
• Treat pet beds, blankets and sleeping areas weekly.
• Wipe down baseboards, cracks, and areas where insects or mites may travel.
•  Use in outdoor seating areas to reduce mosquito exposure.

2️⃣ Mold-prone areas and household microbe reduction

Mold and mold toxins were shown repeatedly as major pollutants in Clark’s system. Neem oil has strong antifungal and antibacterial activity and can be used to control surface contamination.

👉 Applications:

• Apply a 1 – 3% neem oil spray to bathroom tiles, grout, shower corners, and damp walls.
• Use on window frames, AC vents, and areas prone to condensation.
• Wipe cupboards, drawers, and kitchen corners to discourage microbial growth.
• For laundry, add a few drops to washing soda-based cleaners for mold-prone fabrics.

3️⃣ Replacement for polluted personal-care products

Dr. Clark required removing all commercial skin products due to solvents, metals, dyes, and synthetic chemicals. Pure neem oil offers a natural substitute for several topical needs when diluted properly.

👉 Applications:

• Skin-cleansing oil: dilute 1 drop neem oil in a carrier oil (olive, coconut, or almond).
• Natural insect repellent for arms and legs during outdoor activities.
• Scalp application for fungal spots or mite irritation (always diluted).
• Nail and cuticle oil for areas prone to fungal contamination.
• Anti-itch topical support after minor bites or stings.
• Diluted neem oil added to homemade soap or shampoo made from Clark-approved ingredients.

4️⃣ Support for skin irritated by environmental factors

Neem oil calms the skin and reduces irritation from microbes or environmental contaminants. Its moisturizing and antimicrobial qualities help restore the skin barrier without using commercial lotions.

👉 Applications:

• 1 – 2 drops diluted in carrier oil for minor rashes.
• Apply to dry patches, elbows, knees or heels to soften and protect.
• Use on small areas of redness or irritation caused by sweating, fabrics, or environmental exposure.

5️⃣ Pet care and parasite protection

Pets are frequent carriers of parasites into the household. Dr. Clark always included pets in parasite prevention. Neem oil is widely used on animals because it repels fleas, ticks, and mites when applied externally.

👉 Applications:

• Mix a few drops of neem oil into pet-safe carrier oils for coat treatment.
• Massage into the fur along the backbone and behind the ears once weekly.
• Add a small diluted amount to pet shampoos prepared with Clark-approved soap base.
• Treat collars, harnesses, and bedding with diluted neem spray.

6️⃣ Garden and plant protection without chemical pesticides

Avoiding chemical pesticides is consistent with Clark’s pollution cleanups. Neem oil works as a natural plant protector that prevents insects, aphids, and fungal growth.

• Mix neem oil with water and a small amount of natural soap to spray on leaves.
