Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

Papillomavirus was frequently detected inside Ascaris eggs and implicated in chromosomal instability and cancer development. She associated it with precancerous changes and mutations in tissues affected by parasites and solvents.

Health issues: Strongly linked to cervical, anal, and oropharyngeal cancers. In Clark’s research, HPV contributed to oncogenesis wherever Ascaris and solvent exposure occurred together.
