Children can follow the same basic parasite cleanse as adults up to day 5. On day 6, the dose of black walnut hull tincture (extra strength) is adjusted according to age:
| Age | Black walnut tincture (extra strength) | Niacinamide* |
| Under 6 months | ¼ teaspoon | 50 mg |
| 6 months – 5 years | ½ teaspoon | 50 mg |
| 6 – 10 years | 1 teaspoon | 100 mg |
| 11 – 16 years | 1½ teaspoons | 500 mg |
*Use niacinamide, not niacin. It helps the body detoxify the alcohol in the tincture. If needed, crush the tablet and mix it with a spoonful of honey. Occasionally, a trace of niacin in the tablet may cause a temporary flush, this is harmless and fades quickly.
Children benefit greatly from the parasite cleanse, as they are often more exposed to parasites than adults. However, due to the alcohol content in the tincture, the program should not be continued on a maintenance basis.
For regular prevention, alcohol-free black walnut hull capsules can be used instead.
Suggested frequency: deparasitize twice a year or whenever the child becomes ill.
In cases of childhood cancer, Dr. Clark recommended a more intensive approach: give 2–10 teaspoons of tincture as quickly as tolerated, followed several hours later by the Mop-Up Program.
Wormwood and cloves
For children, increase the dosage one day for each year of age.
Example: a 4-year-old follows the adult program up to day 4, then stops.
Wormwood and cloves are not needed continuously. They should be given only during parasite cleansing or periods of illness. Do not give wormwood to very small children.
In cancer cases, it is not necessary to increase the wormwood or clove dosage beyond the regular amounts.
In cases of childhood cancer
A much more intensive protocol should be followed. Administer 2 to 10 teaspoons of tincture as quickly as the child can tolerate. Several hours later, continue with the Mop-Up Program.
Wormwood and cloves:
Increase the dosage by one day for each year of age. For example, a four-year-old follows the adult program up to day 4, then stops.
Prolonged use of wormwood and cloves in children is not recommended. They should be taken only during occasional parasite cleanses or when the child is ill.
In cases of childhood cancer, it is not necessary to increase the dose of wormwood and cloves — only that of the tincture.
⚠️ Do not give wormwood to very small children.
