Toxoplasma gondii is one of the most common yet underestimated parasites infecting humans and animals worldwide. This single-celled protozoan can infect nearly all warm-blooded species and is found in every region of the globe. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), around 11% of Americans over age six carry the parasite, while European studies estimate 30–50% of the world’s population has been exposed.
How infection occurs #
Toxoplasma gondii spreads mainly through:
- Undercooked or raw meat, especially pork, lamb, or venison.
- Unwashed fruits and vegetables contaminated by soil containing cat feces.
- Handling cat litter, as infected cats shed millions of oocysts in their feces.
- Contaminated water or unpasteurized dairy.
- Congenital transmission occurs when the infection passes from a pregnant mother to her baby.
Once inside the body, Toxoplasma forms cysts in muscles, eyes, and the brain, where it can stay dormant for years. While most infections don’t cause immediate symptoms, the parasite’s persistence can quietly weaken the immune system and disrupt normal cell function.
Dr. Hulda Clark’s findings #
Dr. Hulda Clark identified Toxoplasma gondii as one of the most significant hidden invaders contributing to systemic illness. In her Syncrometer research, she repeatedly found Toxoplasma in organs affected by chronic disease. According to her observations, it coexists with other pathogens and thrives in tissues contaminated by solvents and heavy metals.
She associated Toxoplasma infections with a wide range of disorders, including:
- Neurological and mental imbalances, such as confusion, depression, and mood swings.
- Eye problems due to cyst formation in the retinal tissue.
- Chronic fatigue, weakness, and immune suppression.
- Cancers, particularly when Toxoplasma interferes with apoptosis (the natural death of abnormal cells).
- Systemic inflammation, often accompanied by bacterial and fungal coinfections.
Dr. Clark emphasized that no infection can survive in a clean, toxin-free body. Her treatment thus aims to eliminate both the parasite and the biochemical pollution that enables it to persist.
