Dr. Hulda Clark emphasized that food and water are the primary routes by which pathogens and toxins enter the body. For immunodepressed individuals and those undergoing detoxification, merely clean-looking food is not enough. Microscopic contaminants such as bacteria, parasite eggs, solvents, PCBs, and radioactive residues may be present even in everyday groceries. The following are advanced methods Dr. Clark developed and recommended to eliminate such threats.
Super Freezing
Super freezing is a powerful method that kills living contaminants such as E. coli, Salmonella, Ascaris eggs, and tapeworm eggs. Food must be frozen at -20°F or colder for a continuous 24 hours. This method is effective at killing invaders but does not detoxify chemicals. It is especially useful for dry goods like flour, beans, rice, and supplements.
Ultraviolet (UV) Treatment
UV-C light at 254 nm can effectively kill bacteria and viruses. A 40-watt setup (e.g., two 20-watt bulbs) is sufficient, but distance and exposure time must be calibrated for results. It is ideal for surface sanitization of produce and groceries, but it cannot penetrate dried foods or capsules. UV treatment must be used with strict safety precautions to avoid eye and skin exposure.
Lugol’s Iodine Rinse
Lugol’s solution is a long-trusted method for sterilizing fresh produce. Add 1 drop of Lugol’s iodine per quart of water, immerse vegetables for at least one minute, and rinse optionally. This method efficiently eliminates bacteria and viruses on the surface. It should not be used directly on food or drinks.
Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Rinse
Using 1 drop of 5% USP HCl per cup of water, this method neutralizes bacteria, parasite eggs, and even traces of benzene and PCBs. For solid or particulate foods, 3 drops per cup are recommended. It can be added directly to food during preparation (never after serving).
Hot Water Washing
Produce often carries industrial residues like PCBs, azo dyes, asbestos, and even uranium salts. A triple hot water wash, especially for root vegetables and dried goods, can eliminate many of these toxins. Use stainless steel bowls, soak for one minute per wash, and avoid waxed produce.
Zappication
The zappicator combines electric, magnetic, and physical energy to sanitize food. When used correctly:
- Converts d- to l-amino acids (less allergenic)
- Gives food north polarization (enhancing freshness)
- Reduces PCBs, benzene, estrogens, phenolics
- Kills most pathogens
Use for 10 minutes on standard food and 15+ minutes on eggs and dairy. Always verify north polarity.
Ozonation
Ozone is highly effective at sterilizing food quickly and deeply. In 7–10 minutes, it can destroy bacteria, viruses, estrogens, azo dyes, and phenolic compounds. Ozone turns into oxygen and water, leaving no residues. Do not use on supplements or medicines.
Sonication
Ultrasonic cleaners vibrate food in a water bath to remove and chemically destroy PCBs, benzene, asbestos, and molds. It also kills all life stages of parasites and bacteria embedded in meat and packaging. Use a 1.5-gallon sonicator with a 5-minute timer. This is especially valuable for baby items and kitchen tools.
