Causes
Dr. Hulda Clark identifies alcoholism as a result of liver dysfunction, combined with the effects of beryllium and ergot mold toxins. When the part of the liver responsible for detoxifying ethyl alcohol is impaired, often due to food molds or fluke parasites, alcohol stays in circulation much longer. Beryllium, inhaled from fossil fuels (e.g., hurricane lamps, kerosene heaters, paint, or cleaners), travels to the brain and attaches to the addiction center, where it blocks glutamate receptors. This causes chronic low-grade depression, which increases the craving for alcohol. When alcohol or its byproduct salsol reacts with beryllium at this site, it triggers an exaggerated “high,” reinforcing the addiction. Ergot mold, common in alcoholic drinks, worsens this toxic synergy.
Symptoms
- Compulsive desire to consume alcohol
- Mood swings, depression, and emotional instability
- Inability to stop drinking despite consequences
- Relapse even after long abstinence
- Brain fog, fatigue, liver dysfunction
Treatments
- Liver detoxification:
- Perform repeated liver cleanses (until at least 2,000 stones are eliminated). See the instructions here on the info hub.
- Avoid all alcohol, including alcohol-based tinctures (e.g., use aqueous black walnut tincture).
- Eliminate beryllium sources in the living environment:
- Remove hurricane lamps, fossil fuel heaters, paint solvents, and automotive products.
- Keep cars and gasoline-powered tools out of attached garages.
- Never enter dry cleaners or painting environments.
- Avoid ergot and mold toxins:
- Eliminate moldy grains, cereals, alcoholic beverages, and processed foods.
- Add vitamin C to nuts, pasta, and grains to reduce mold toxicity.
- Nutritional support for brain recovery:
- Glutamine: 3,000 mg daily (6 tablets of 500 mg)
- Niacinamide: 500 mg with meals (to detox ergot)
- B-complex (B-50): with each meal
- Thioctic acid: helps remove beryllium from brain tissue
- Environmental overhaul:
- Switch to electric utilities to avoid indoor air contamination.
- Test home air and household items for beryllium.
- Ensure full household participation in cleanup, as environmental re-exposure can perpetuate addiction.
Nutritional support for brain recovery based on Dr. Hulda Clark’s guidance
- Glutamine
- Dose: 3,000 mg daily
- Schedule: 500 mg tablet × 2 before each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Niacinamide
- Dose: 500 mg per meal
- Schedule: One 500 mg tablet with each meal (3× daily)
- B-complex (B-50)
- Dose: One tablet per meal
- Schedule: With breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Thioctic acid (alpha-lipoic acid)
- Dose: 100–200 mg
- Schedule: Twice daily, morning and evening, ideally with meals
